The truth is that every human being is indivisible matter and spirit for as long as a life lasts. In this respect, all of us are absurdly miraculous and worthy of being called icons. In my new body of work entitled Icons, I create abstract, mixed media sculptures of what the disembodied energy of the icon might look like if it stood outside its skin.
